Processing of personal data when contacting BGE
You can contact us via the e-mail address provided on this website. You can also contact us via the telephone or fax number provided on the website. If you make use of these options, the personal data transmitted will be stored, collected and processed solely for the purpose of processing and responding to your enquiry.

Processing of personal data when using the website
The BGE processes personal data when you access this website in a browser.

The processing of the data described above is technically necessary for the BGE to display our website to you and to ensure stability and security. The basis for the processing of personal data is provided by Section 25 paragraph 2 TDDDG.
The websites thereda.de, thereda.eu, and thereda.com are hosted by the following third-party provider: Gärtner Datensysteme GmbH & Co. KG, Hamburger Straße 273 a, 38114 Braunschweig, Germany. The server is located in Germany.
Data is deleted when it is no longer required for the purpose for which it was processed. When data is processed while the website is accessed in the browser, your data is deleted when the browsing session is ended. Beyond this, the log files, including the IP address, are stored for a maximum period of 15 days for the purpose of protecting system security.
If the above-mentioned data is not provided, the website cannot be visited. Automated decision-making does not take place.

Registering on THEREDA
After registering on THEREDA, you will receive free access to the THEREDA database.
If you would like to use this feature of the THEREDA website, you must register by providing your e‑mail address, a password of your choice, and a username of your choice. You are not required to use your real name, pseudonymous use is possible. The provision of the above-mentioned data is mandatory. All other information is voluntary and can be provided when using our portal.
We use the double opt-in process for this service. You will receive an e-mail to the e-mail address you provided during registration, asking you to confirm that you are the owner of the e-mail address provided and that you wish to register with the e-mail address provided. In addition, we store your IP addresses and the dates and times of registration and confirmation. The purpose of this procedure is to verify your registration and, if necessary, to investigate any possible misuse of your personal data.
When you use THEREDA, we store the necessary data until you permanently delete your account. We also store the voluntary data you provide for the duration of your use of the portal, unless you delete it beforehand. The basis for this is your consent under Article 6 paragraph 1 subparagraph a GDPR.
